Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy, or “talk therapy” is the preferred treatment method for many mental health conditions. In fact, it is considered the primary treatment method for many conditions, and can be paired with medication management for optimal outcomes.

Medication Management

Our advanced practice providers are board certified to diagnose and treat a variety of adult and pediatric mental health conditions. Therapeutic techniques are integrated into each appointment to achieve total mental wellness.

Wellness Services

We offer a variety of mental health wellness therapies, such as vitamin injections, ketamine infusions, and peptide therapy. Many therapies can be added-on to existing appointments or delivered directly in your home by a licensed provider.

Our treatment philosophy

All patient visits begin with establishment of a therapeutic alliance, or partnership, between you and your provider.

Once the therapeutic alliance is established, we work with you to identify your goals and tailor treatment to fit your needs.

We will begin treatment by utilizing evidence-based practice, and adjust as needed.

Panic Mode: 5 Ways to Cope with and Prevent Panic Attacks

If you've ever felt like you're in "panic mode," you're not alone. Panic attacks can be incredibly overwhelming, especially for women in the prime of their lives. But fear not, because in this article, we'll explore 5 practical strategies to help you cope with and even prevent panic attacks.

Understanding Panic Attacks

First off, let's understand what a panic attack really is. Picture this: You're going about your day when suddenly, out of nowhere, your heart starts racing, you're short of breath, and you feel like the world is closing in on you. That, my friend, is a panic attack. It can be triggered by stress, certain situations, or even seemingly random events.

Coping Strategies

  1. Deep Breathing Techniques When a panic attack hits, one of the best things you can do is focus on your breath. Try this: Inhale deeply through your nose for a count of four, hold for four, and exhale slowly through your mouth for four. Repeat until you feel calmer.
  2. Mindfulness and Meditation Mindfulness is all about being present in the moment. Meditation can help train your mind to stay calm and focused, even during stressful times. Find a quiet place, close your eyes, and simply focus on your breath for a few minutes each day.
  3. Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) PMR is a fancy way of saying you tense and then relax each muscle group in your body. Start with your toes and work your way up to your head. It can help release physical tension and calm your mind.
  4. Healthy Lifestyle Changes Regular exercise, a balanced diet, and proper sleep can work wonders for your mental health. Exercise releases feel-good endorphins, while a healthy diet can stabilize your mood. And don't underestimate the power of a good night's sleep!
  5. Seeking Professional Help If panic attacks are interfering with your daily life, don't hesitate to seek professional help. A therapist can work with you to develop coping strategies and, if needed, prescribe medication to help manage your symptoms.

Panic attacks can be scary, but they don't have to control your life. By implementing these 5 strategies, you can learn to cope with and even prevent panic attacks. Remember, it's okay to ask for help, and you're not alone in this journey. Take care of yourself, and remember to breathe. You've got this!
