Collaborative & Integrative Care
At MindVita Wellness, we believe in a collaborative and integrative approach to psychiatric care. Mental health does not exist in isolation—it is deeply connected to physical health, lifestyle, and emotional well-being. That’s why we work closely with primary care physicians, therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure you receive comprehensive, coordinated care tailored to your unique needs.
What Is Collaborative & Integrative Care?
Collaborative care means that our psychiatric providers actively communicate and coordinate with other healthcare professionals involved in your treatment. This approach ensures that all aspects of your health—both mental and physical—are considered when developing your treatment plan.
Coordination with Primary Care Physicians (PCPs)
- We partner with your PCP to ensure your psychiatric medications do not interfere with other prescriptions or underlying medical conditions.
- We provide medication updates and progress reports (with your consent) to keep your PCP informed about your mental health treatment.
- For patients with conditions like anxiety, depression, or ADHD, we work with your PCP to explore lifestyle and medical factors that may impact your symptoms (e.g., thyroid disorders, vitamin deficiencies).
Integration with Therapists & Counselors
- We collaborate with licensed therapists, psychologists, and social workers to align medication management with therapy goals.
- Our providers encourage a holistic treatment approach that combines medication with evidence-based psychotherapy for optimal results.
- With your permission, we communicate with your therapist to discuss progress, challenges, or adjustments that may enhance your treatment plan.
Patient-Centered Treatment Planning
- We take a whole-person approach, considering nutrition, sleep, exercise, and stress management alongside medication.
- Treatment plans are personalized and flexible, adapting as your needs evolve.
- We ensure that every provider involved in your care has a shared understanding of your goals and progress.
- We ensure that every provider involved in your care has a shared understanding of your goals and progress.
